California Travelers If you are interested in traveling to Hawai’i to compete in, or watch, the HIPC, here’s the information: We’ve put together three group airfare dates: Trip
1: a 7-night, 8-day trip to compete in the HIPC. TRIP
1: Hawaiian Air TRIP 2: Hawaiian Air TRIP 3: Hawaiian Air Group Rates Our California group airfare is $570 including tax. Hawaiian Air has agreed to freight our boards on these flights for a nominal charge of $50 roundtrip. Please let Cathie know how many boards you are shipping and add $50 per board to your check. There is no insurance on these boards. You are shipping at your own risk. DO NOT USE BUBBLE WRAP WITHOUT PROTECTING BOARD FROM SUNLIGHT! Make checks payable to Southern California Paddleboard Club. Booking Seats For the group package, there are 100 seats available between the three trips. The seats are available on a first come, first served basis. After the 100 seats are gone, the per seat price will increase slightly. If you’d like to book space on one of these trips, please email Cathie English at HennesseysRaces@aol.com or call 310-316-2892. No seats will be booked without a deposit so be prepared to send a non-refundable check for $100 made out to the Southern California Paddleboard Club as soon as you book seats with Cathie, with the remaining balance due by June 1, 2005. If you need payment arrangements, please talk to Cathie. Renting Wheels If you want wheels while you’re on the island, you’ll need to make your own rental car reservations. You can call Hertz at 1-800-654-2210 or Avis at 1-800-331-1212. Where to Stay Below you will find information on accommodations; however, you must book them on your own. place to stay, especially for families. Studios sleep 2 and go
for $85 per night. One bedroom units sleep four and go for $100

Hawaiian Freight Info Hawaiian Air will be shipping all of the Californians’ boards this year. There will be a $50 round trip handling fee. This includes paddleboards or surfboard bags. You will add this to your check when you pay for your airfare. It is mandatory if you are shipping a board with Hawaiian Air, you MUST be on Hawaiian Air’s Flight Manifest, according to new FAA rules for shipping personal items (as in paddleboards). Hawaiian Air is a Co-title sponsor and they are doing us a huge favor by shipping our boards. Even at 50 bucks, it’s a bargain! They have made things more convenient for dropping off boards this year. Here are the dates and times that boards can be dropped off. Don’t forget to pack your board properly – NO bubble wrap!!! Hawaiian Air Freight Info Days and times we can make Drop-offs: We have arranged these dates to make drop-off convenient around the US Championships (July 16th). Hawaiian Air will not accept boards after 11:00am on Sunday, July 17th!!! Write your name in large block letters on four locations on you board packing. Also, write your arrival date in Honolulu in large block letters on two locations on your board packing. Pick-up
at Honolulu Airport (Same location as last year) Upon
return, Drop-off at 1 Elliott Street on your way to your
